OPPORTUNITY. KINLÒ was created to address a longstanding gap in the skincare market: products specifically formulated for melanin-rich skin. As a new founder-led brand, it needed a visual identity that could establish trust, communicate expertise, and create a foundation capable of supporting future growth across an expanding product portfolio.
IMPACT. I developed the brand identity and designed the complete packaging system, creating an illustration style and visual framework that could extend across every product while maintaining a cohesive brand presence. Custom botanical illustrations reflected key ingredients and formulations, giving each product its own personality while reinforcing the collection as a whole. Beyond packaging, I expanded the identity into launch photography, campaign imagery, retail assets, and limited-edition gifting experiences, including a custom furoshiki-inspired fabric wrap that celebrated Naomi Osaka’s Japanese heritage and deepened the brand’s cultural story.
